JEWELRY CARE

Every piece of SΦINX® jewelry is made and assembled in our workshop with extra care. We would love it if you wore your SΦINX® jewelry forever!

All SΦINX® jewelry is hand-made of 925 Sterling Silver and receives a plating. We plate with white rhodium or 24K gold. All jewelry is designed to last a lifetime. However as with all jewelry, general wear and tear will occur over time. It is therefore very important to care for your pieces and ensure that their beauty will last longer.

It is actually very easy to care and maintain your SΦINX® jewelry as it all depends on how the piece is worn and stored; Please find below some helpful tips that we have put together for you, to make jewelry last a lifetime:

- Remove jewelry before going to bed or participating in physical activity and make sure you are not wearing whilst swimming or showering.
- Avoid any exposure to certain harsh chemicals or environments as it will result in compromising the integrity of your jewelry. This includes, but is not limited to the following: perspiration, perfumes, hair spray, cleaning agents, chlorine and salt water.
- Always protect your jewelry from sharp blows, scratching, chemicals, sunlight and heat/cold.

Jewelry should be stored away from natural sunlight and heat. We recommend place them in a protective (lined) jewelry box, a tarnish-resistant pouch or in a plastic zip lock bag made of polyethylene. Never use polyvinyl plastic bags.
Do not store your jewelry in the bathroom or any humid spot. Try to keep each piece apart so they don’t rub together.
Please note that our SΦINX® boxes are not made for long-term storage as they are not airtight and tarnishing will occur over time.

We know how important is to keep the original brilliance of your jewelry. An easy way to clean it at home and restore its shine is:
Dip it in a glass bowl with warm water and gentle liquid soap –preferably no fragranced or antibacterial soap– for a few seconds, wash it off and gently wipe it dry with a super soft clean cloth. Do not use silver polish because it will cause the plating to wear off.
